Chloé Carine is a British artist living in the New Forest. She graduated from the University of Brighton in 2004 with a degree in graphic design, and spent 15 years working across design studios, in-house for Urban Outfitters, freelancing for varied clients, and as an art director for a luxury philanthropic publication in Singapore.

Just before lockdown she stepped back from commercial design to focus on her own creative practice. She also completed a foundation course at the Faculty of Astrological Studies and developed a deep interest in astrology. Life changes, a move from London to the coast, and the daily chaos of family life, reframed her work. Everyday moments, the constant “Mum Mum Mum,” the rhythm of school pick-ups and drop-offs, and the desperate need to get things out of her system, became material. Ordinary fragments turned into playful, meaningful stories on paper. This ongoing practice playfully explores motherhood and daily life through wordplay.

Her current series, “Magic Portals,” features abstract watercolour paintings that combine the therapeutic nature of watercolour with her deep interests in astrology, crystals, and water consciousness.
